The Mediterranean Doesn’t Wait

The window between May and September is short, intense, and unforgiving when it comes to aircraft availability. If you’re planning a private flight to the Mediterranean this summer, the planning starts now — not in June.

The Destinations

Ibiza (LEIB). Peak demand: June through August, particularly Friday departures. The airport handles private traffic well, but ground handling slots tighten. Groups of 6–8 favour midsize jets for the extra cabin space.

Nice / Cannes (LFMN). The Côte d’Azur is perennially in demand. Nice is one of Europe’s busiest private aviation airports, and slot management during peak periods requires coordination. Helicopter transfers to Monaco or Saint-Tropez can be arranged as part of the booking.

Sardinia – Olbia (LIEO). Costa Smeralda’s gateway. Olbia is well-equipped for private traffic, but aircraft parking is limited during July and August. Early confirmation avoids repositioning your jet to a distant stand.

Mykonos (LGMK). A destination that punches well above its size in charter demand. Runway length limits some larger aircraft, so midsize jets are the practical maximum. The approach is scenic — the landing experience alone is worth the flight.

Dubrovnik / Split (LDDU / LDSP). Croatia offers a quieter alternative with equally stunning coastline. Shorter routes from Central Europe make light jets viable, keeping costs down.

Santorini (LGSR). Increasingly popular, particularly for events and weddings. Limited infrastructure means everything — parking, handling, transfers — needs to be locked in early.

What “Book Now” Actually Means

You don’t need to commit to a binding charter agreement today. But you should:

  • Share your route and dates — even approximate
  • Let us check availability and pricing — so you have a benchmark
  • Reserve a slot when you’re ready — operators hold aircraft for 24–48 hours on request

Waiting until May to plan a July flight to Ibiza is possible, but you’ll pay more and have fewer options. Planning in March gives you the full market.

  • Helicopter connections — particularly useful in the South of France and Greek islands
  • Return logistics — including flexible timing if your plans shift
  • Start the Conversation
  • Tell us where you want to go this summer. We’ll map out the options, flag the best windows for availability, and keep you ahead of the peak.
